Meeting of the IT Committee

2006-09-25 | by Dean Shareski [mail] | Categories: Technology

Friday provided an opportunity to meet with many of the schools Tech reps. During the meeting we looked at the future of technology in schools and the possibilities that exist for students and teachers.

Barry Stewart and his team shared a number of initiatives. We realized that like so many things, there's a lot of "stuff" going on and it's a challenge to work together when everyone is so busy. We started a wiki where will hash out a number of issues and provide direction for technology.

We are certainly fortunate to have so many dedicated, knowledgeable people in schools as well as those supporting technology for our division.

Welcome

Welcome to the weblog for the Curriculum Consultants. This is the place we'll be posting our experiences and observations and we work to support teachers and students in the classroom.
This will not be used as a primary source of communication but rather a place where we can share our ideas and plans and you can supply your perspectives.
Is it a diary? I hope not. But it is rather an inside look at our roles and provides a place where some informal discussion can occur. We'll also post links to resoures that we think are helpful.
Please, join the conversation.
