It has been far too many years since I took the time to write a blog post. In fact my last written post was made on a now defunct web site back in October 2007. I’ve started out slowly this year trying to use video blogs through YouTube as an easy way to connect with students and parents of our school. Part of what I like about the videos is it provides an efficient way to show some of the many amazing and unique things that happen at Peacock Collegiate. However, a 2 minute video is not enought time to explore and discuss important school topics. It is a blog tradition that I will continue but need to enhance with more writing. I used to think a blog was a one author personal journal. However, a blog is also a chance to start and sustain important conversations about what matters to students, parents, and staff of Peacock Collegiate. My goal is to write one post a month over the next year. Next month I will write about the different types and ways that student data and parent feedback play in decision making at our school. I sincerely hope that any who read this will return to continue being part of the conversation.
