The Easy Way to Memorize Multiplication Tables (An Amazing Hack!)

IMPORTANT EVENTS:

January will end with an opportunity for families to join us for a Family Literacy event.  We will have teachers available to support parents with suggestion and tips for reading in both French and English.  There will a variety of activities to complete with your child and teachers will answer any questions you may have about supporting reading at home.  Please RSVP by January 23rd to school.ph@prairiesouth.ca with the number of guests and grade level of students that will be attending.  There will be refreshments and treats available thanks to the support of our SCC!  This will be a come and go event from 6:00-8:00 pm on Monday, January 28th.

If there is a need, child care will be available for pre-school students.  Please indicate in your RSVP if you require child care to attend the event.

WHAT ARE WE LEARNING?

English Language Arts- completing a mystery research project to present, writing skills (paragraphs, review of capitalization and punctuation, parts of speech, sentence structure), independent reading journal, writing journal

Math  6- ratios, decimals and percents

Math 7- adding and subtracting integers

PRACTICE/MEMORIZE multiplication tables!!

Science – SPACE!!

Social Studies  –7’s Pacific Rim; 6’s Atlantic Rim
